RAMBAN, May 9: Under its Civic Action programme 42nd Battalion SSB provided a computer to Government Primary School, Madi and distributed school bags and stationery items among the students.
The aid was handed over to the beneficiaries by Commandant, 42nd Battalion SSB, Rajesh Tikku, during a programme organized at Government Primary School, Gami-Boonbari, Batote.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commander expressed hope that the computer so provided to the school would be put to best use of educating the students as the future is an era of computers.
The programme was also attended by Dr YJK Singh, Commandant (Medical) and other officers of the battalion besides Headmistress of the school, Niyamat Bibi, teachers and prominent locals including Sarpanch Nazir Ahmed Mir.
