SSP Benam Tosh declares open Basketball C’ship

KATHUA, Nov 18: SSP Benam Tosh declared open inter-school Basketball Championship at Tiny Scholars School, here today.
The championship is being organised under the guidance of School Director Manisha Gupta and Principal Reena Khajuria, wherein under-14 and under-17 boys and girls are taking part under the banner of Jammu Sahodaya School Complex.
The 28 teams of CBSE associated schools including APS Schools of Jammu, Samba and Kathua are participating in the grand event.
The event was graced by chief guest SSP Benam Tosh, while guests of honour were Ranjit Kaur ETO Kathua, In-charge Sports Stadium Kathua, Baljinder Paul Singh, DPEO Pardeep Singh and Kuldeep Sharma, social activist, Rattan Bharti social activist and Inspector Gulzar Ahmed (International player) were the special guests.
The event started with the lighting of lamp by chief guests, guests of honour and special guests along with School management committee.
The matches were played on a knock-out basis between various teams.
The chief guest encouraged the players and asked them to give their best during the championship. He also appreciated the host School for hosting the championship.
