SSP inaugurates Police Library at Purmandal

SAMBA, May 9: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh today inaugurated J&K Police Library at Purmandal at an impressive function which was attended by a large number of aspirants of various competitive exams, students of Government Degree College, Purmandal, Government Higher Secondary School, Purmandal, officers of civil and police administration, educationalists, PRIs and other prominent citizens. SSP Samba was accompanied by Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, Deputy SP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj and SHO Police Station, Purmandal Vijay Verma.
This is the first comprehensive library established by J&K Police under CAP in Purmandal area of Samba district for the use of aspirants of IAS, IPS, JKAS, JKPS, UPSC, PSC, SSRB, NDA, CDS, Banking and other competitive exams. Library with full sitting and reading facilities having standard books of all subjects, magazines, globes, maps & standard dictionaries has been opened by police at world famous holy place of Purmandal on the bank of holy river Devika which is the center of several villages from educational/learning point of view.
DDC Purmandal, Avtar Singh, Principal GDC Purmandal, Raj Shri, ZEO Purmandal, Rajinder Kumar, Naib Tehsildar, Purmandal, Sardar Ali, Sarpanch Purmandal, Joginder Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Deon, Rashid Mohammad, Sarpanch Khara Madana Upper, Sunita Kumari, and Sarpanch Khara Madana Lower, Sunil Sharma were present on the occasion and complimented police for establishing library at Purmandal which would really be helpful for young generation to get through in various competitive exams and inspire them to pursue higher studies & stay away from drugs.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba, Benam Tosh congratulated the aspirants of various competitive exams, students, scholars and the public of Purmandal and adjoining villages on getting library which would go a long way in providing success in competitive exams, in creating curiosity to learn more and more and in grooming the personality outlook of the users.
SSP Samba further informed that police would organize anti-drug awareness programmes and other events in the areas of Police Station Purmandal and would also provide desks to the students shortly. Benam Tosh advised the students to stay away from the drugs and devote their energies towards studies, games and social service.
