KARGIL, Mar 2: The District Police Kargil under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police organized the District Level Taekwondo Championship-2014 at Indoor Stadium here.
The Championship was inaugurated by Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil, Sujit Kumar, who was the chief guest on the occasion.
Over 90 Taekwondo players including 40 boys and 50 girls from various parts of Kargil are participating in this Taekwondo Championship.
While addressing the players, SSP, Sujit Kumar said the youths of Kargil has tremendous talent in every field of sports, therefore the Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing such a programme to explore the hidden talent of the youths by taking initiative under Civic Action Programme.
He stressed upon the youth to take part in this type of games, so that they can bring laurel to District, State and Country by participating in National and International events.
Additional SP Kargil, Mohmad Yonous Bhat, various District Officer, Police Officers and large number of people were present on the occasion.
