SSP Samba inaugurates Gymnasium at village Sarna

SAMBA, Feb 20: Samba police in an endeavour to provide health and fitness facility to the residents of Sarna area near here and to channelize the energy of youth in right direction, today opened a Gym in the village. The Gym was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Samba, Rajesh Sharma- under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
The Gym established by the J&K Police (district Samba) under Civic Action Programme is equipped with state-of-the-art fitness equipments where people of the area can utilize their leisure time in a productive manner to garner maximum benefits from Gymnasium.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba highlighted the role of physical exercise in one’s personality development. It is known adage that a “healthy mind resides in a healthy body” and one should come out of their hectic schedule of routine activities and devote sometime for sporting and recreational activities, said SSP Samba.
On the occasion, Additional SP Samba, Ajaz Zargar, DySP Headquarters, Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, SHO Samba, Inspector, Sudhir Sadotra, prominent persons and sarpanches and panches of the area were also present. The people of the area got overwhelmed by the opening of Gym and expressed their gratitude to District Police Samba.
