SSP Udhampur declares open Athletic Meet

JAMMU, Aug 30: Senior Superintendent of Police Suleman Choudhary inaugurated the District Level Inter-School Under-19 boys Athletic Meet open in an impressive and well attended function at Subash Stadium, here today.
The Meet was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Udhampur.
In 100 meters Under-19 boys, Ashish Daiya, Arjun Raina and Rahul Sharma clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 200 meters, Karaw Singh, Vikas Sharma and Sunny Sharma claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 400 meters Under-19 boys, Ganesh Kumar won gold, Sunil Kumar bagged silver and Satwinder claimed bronze, while in 800 meters event, Sushil Kumar, Sham Lal and Pawan Kumar won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
The long jump gold went to Abdul Razaq, while Sunil Singh and Sunny Sharma claimed silver and bronze medals respectively, while in high jump, the gold and silver medals were bagged by Mushtaq and Sahil Sharma respectively.
Shot put and javelin gold medals went to Parshotam Singh, while Ashish Sharma claimed gold medal in discus throw.
The Meet was officiated by Pawan Kumar, Raj Kumar, Raman Kumar, Raj Kumar, Reena Gupta, Shashi Bala, Ajay Sharma, Sushma Rani, Vinod Kumar and Mulkh Raj.
