UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: Taking forward the community policing initiative of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Udhampur Police organized sports events for male and female youth organized under Civic Action Programme 2017-18 which was today declared open by Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Udhampur in presence of Additional SP Faisel Qureshi, DySP HQ Kameshwar Puri and Inspector Sanjeev Gupta SHO PS Udhampur.
while speaking on the occasion, SSP highlighted the importance of sports in civilized societies. He said that sports always act as a channel to bring the youth closer and closer to police and Jammu and Kashmir Police is vigorously working in that sphere.
“This is the best way to channalize the energies of youth towards constructive and productive purposes,” SSP added. Volleyball, Badminton and Hand ball matches under different categories of male and female were played today at Mini Stadium Udhampur, being organized under CAP 2017-18 of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
