JAMMU, Apr 7: St Xavier Convent School celebrated 20th Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ex MLC SM Gill and Fr CM Khanna were also present.
The programme started with a prayer to invoke blessings of the Almighty.
Students presented Kashiri, Hindi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri and Western dances and songs on the occasion, which enthralled the audience.
The annual report of the School was presented by the Director of the School, Er HR Padha, wherein he said that the School has created history by securing 38 positions in 8th Class Examinations, apart from claiming positions in 10th and 12th Class examinations.
Mementoes, cash prizes and certificates were distributed among the position holders by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khanna lauded the efforts of the management and teachers for excellent results.
The vote of thanks was presented by Principal Pankaj Vihans.
