JAMMU, Aug 24: Stadium XI and Bhatia Cricket Academy (BCA) outclassed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing Bhatia Cricket League for under-19 boys, being played here today.
In the first match, Stadium XI registered win over The Cricket Club (TCC) by a huge margin of 165 runs and sailed into the next round of the tournament.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Stadium XI made 274 runs. Rhytham scored 114 runs off 63 balls, while Kanhyia made 58 runs off 35 balls and Chitra chipped in 20 runs.
From TCC side, Shabak scalped 3 wickets, while Shubanz took one wicket.
In reply, TCC bundled out at paltry 99 runs by losing all wickets in 23.4 overs. Dhananjay made 30 runs, while Jatin scored 9 runs.
From Stadium XI side, Abhinav Khajuria was wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets by giving just 12 runs in 6 overs, while Dhruv took 2 wickets.
Rhytham of Stadium XI was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance.
In the second match, Rising Star lost to Bhatia Cricket Academy (BCA) by 89 runs. Batting first, BCA made 174 runs by losing 9 wickets in 25 overs. Abhishek made 41 runs with the help of five boundaries, while Anil scored 31 runs and Rohit chipped in 28 runs.
From Rising Star side, Aditya and Sayam scalped 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In the second inning, Rising Star failed to chase the target and collapsed at just 85 runs by losing 6 wickets. Aditya made 26 runs, while Aprajit scored 16 runs.
From BCA side, Ramneek scalped 3 wickets, while Gitansh and Hanzla took one wicket each.
