SAMBA, Apr 27: The standing wheat crop in 232 kanals of land in village Khour Slarian in Ramgarh Sector was damaged in devastating fire today.
Though the fire tender from Ramgargh was pressed into service to control the fire, the time it reached the spot the blaze had engulfed 232 kanals of land and destroyed the entire wheat crop in this portion of land. However fire brigade controlled the fire from spreading further.
Eight farmers were affected as entire crop in their fields was turned into ashes.
