BHADERWAH, Dec 18: In a one sided match, Star Warriors Bhaderwah inflicted a humiliating defeat to Manjal Cricket Club Bhalla and lifted the title trophy of the Inter Village Cricket Championship, here today.
Elected to bat first after winning the toss, Manjal Cricket Club bundled out at paltry 55 runs in 12 overs. Babloo scored 19 runs.
Arif and Aadil of Star Warriors clinched 5 and 4 wickets respectively.
In reply, Star Warriors chased the target in just 3.2 overs for the loss of just one wicket.
Beside distinguished guests which include BJP District President Advocate Manjeet Razdan, who was the chief guest, 2 IC RR Lt Col Bikramjit Singh, Balbir Singh Deputy Commandant CRPF, ZSO Pritam Singh and Parveen Jariyal and hundreds of spectators witnessed the finals.
Beside winners and runner-up trophy, a cash prize of Rs 12,000 and Rs 10,000 were given to the winning and runner-up teams respectively.
The tournament was organized by Chairman Tamanna (NGO), Rohit Wazir, Vikrant Katoch, Asif and Monu Baloria.
