JAMMU, Jan 6: The Jammu and Kashmir State Cross Country team for 50th National Cross Country Championship, being held at Balewade in Pune on January 9 and January 10, 2016, was flagged off, here today.
The team was flagged off after it was screened by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer and Sidharth Sahrma, Member J&K State Sports Council.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ravinder Singh, Secretary J&K Athletic Association, SS Gill, Sharat Chander Singh, Gurcharan Singh and Vinod K Bhatia.
The selected athletes included Naresh Kumar, Imtiyaz Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed, Younis Mushtaq and Aryaveer Singh.
