JAMMU, Oct 14: J&K State Sports Council today selected J&K Cycling team for 17th National Road Cycling Championship to be conducted by Cycling Federation of India from October 17 to 20 at Mazaffarpur, Bihar.
For Elite event, Ghulam Rasool Kawa, Vikesh Kumar, Abid Hussain, Tariq Ahmed and Umer Nabi were selected, whereas, in Under 23, Ajay Kumar, Mohd Akbar Khan, Ravinder Singh, Akhil Jamwal, Tanvir Ahmed and Altaf Ahmed were selected.
For Men Junior event, Dharminer Singh and Prince Choudhary were selected, whereas, for Sub Junior event, Ankiteshuvar Singh, Mansoor Ahmed, Mohd Faiq and Yawar Nazir were selected. For Junior event, Aakershait Pathak and Shubham Singh Manhas were selected.
The trails were conducted under the supervision of Ravi Singh, Sports Officer, Jammu, J&K Sports Council in presence of Om Parkash, general secretary, J&K Cycling Association, Ravi Salgotra, treasurer and Mushtaq Ahmed, team coach.
