JAMMU, Sept 28: MSME Development Institute, J&K in association with Association of Small and Tiny Industries (ASTI), Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) Samba organized one day State Level Vendor Development Programme on Public Procurement Policy at IGC, Samba.
During the programme, officers from various Central Government and Public Sector Undertakings such as MSME-DI Jammu, National Building Construction Company (NBCC), National Project Construction Company (NPCC), Food Corporation of India (FCI) and Central Public Works Department (CPWD) were present on the occasion.
The programme was inaugurated by Virinder Sharma, Director MSME-DI Jammu, who while speaking asked the MSMEs that Central Government Departments and CPSUs will procure minimum 20 per cent of their annual value of goods from micro and small enterprises.
Manzoor Ahmad Hajam, Assistant Director, MSME-DI Jammu deliberated on Public Procurement Policy through power point presentation.
Harbinder Singh, President ASTI Jammu Province informed the participating CPSUs about the products being manufactured by small and micro units at samba.
The officers from CPSUs discussed their requirements with MSMEs and the process for vendor registration and the forthcoming line in projects.
The programme was attended by 40 MSEs from different industrial estates of Jammu province.
The programme was coordinated by Vinu Jee Koul of MSME DI Jammu who also delivered the vote of thanks.
