JAMMU, Sept 6: All J&K State Ranking Badminton Championships-2019 under 19 Boys/Girls & Senior Men/Women got underway here today.
The event is being organized by the J&K Badminton Association.
Dr OD Sharma, Chairman, J&K Badminton Association and Vice President, Badminton Association of India was the chief guest on the occasion.
About 150 players of the state are participating in the championship. During the Championships the J&K State team will be selected on the performance of the players for participation in the North Zone Badminton Championships-2019 to be held at Panchkula (Haryana) from September 26 to September 29, 2019. The matches were conducted under the supervision of Satpal Sharma, SAI, Badminton coach, Vikram Saini, SAI Badminton coach, Rahul Sharma, Referee, Sukhdev Singh, Pawanjeet Singh and Balbir Jamwal, General Secretary, JKBA.
