JAMMU, Nov 26: The J&K Strength Lifting Association has decided to hold state level strength lifting championship at Vijaypur in Samba from December 12 to 13.
A meeting of executive body of the association was held in this regard here today under the chairman ship of its president, Vicky Mahajan.
During the meeting key decisions were taken regarding the proposed championship and promotion of the game in the state.
The meeting decided to hold 2-day championship in collaboration with District Samba Strength Lifting Association.
The national strength lifting championship for the year 2015-16 was proposed to be organized at Katra in district Udhampur.
In the meeting president of the association, Mr Mahajan assured that the game would be promoted in every corner of the state by organizing competitions and coaching camps on regular basis.
Prominent among others the meeting was attended by Ashok Singh, Satpal Sharma, Raman Sharma, Faisal Pal, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Veenu Sharma and Bakar Pal.
