State Taekwondo team leaves for Sub-Jr Nationals

JAMMU, Oct 4: To participate in 30th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championships to be held at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from October 4 to October 7, the Jammu and Kashmir State Taekwondo team left for the venue, here today.
Earlier, the J&K Taekwondo Association conducted 14th J&K State Taekwondo Championship for   selecting the State team and those who won gold medals have been picked for the Championship.
Meanwhile, Anil Gupta, Chairman JKTA has announced cash prize for those who would win medals in the Championship.
Boys team: Varun Mehra-18kg, Sushant Verma-21 kg, Raghav Mehra-23kg, Aryan Gupta-25kg, Robain Gill-27kg, Abhinav Sharma-29kg, Parmarth Singh-32kg, Randhir Singh (Kathua)-35kg, Pranav Sharma -38kg, Ajay Kumar-41kg, Arun Mehra-44kg, Inayat Hussain Dar (Srinagar) -50kg
Girls team: Asma Gul (Kargil)-24kg, Shreya Gupta-26kg, Komal Dhiman-32kg, Vishali Devi-41kg, Riya Chib-47kg.
Meanwhile, Rajat Thakur and Mukta Gupta  will be the technical official in the said Championship.
Atul Pangotra (NIS) and Brinder Singh will be the coach and manager of boys team respectively, while Manpreet Singh and Taruna Khajuria will accompany the girls team as coach and manager respectively.
