JAMMU, Dec 15: The State of Jammu and Kashmir hosted National Level Women Sports Competitions in the disciplines of Table Tennis, Badminton and Athletics in Jammu. However, the team which represented the State in Table Tennis has been picked without taking into consideration the merit of the players. Talent has been butchered and blue eyed have been picked to represent the State.
This was stated by top table tennis players namely Jhanvi, Shzar and Shreya, apart from coach Meenu while addressing media persons, here today.
Coach Meenu said that the talent has been marred by jaundiced selection process in the State, adding that the top players of Jammu and Kashmir have been left in the lurch.
The players said that there is no rule to stop top players from being part of the State team, and the organizers of the event are unnecessarily giving references of the rules and regulations.
They also alleged that some officials of the Department misbehaved with them when they approached them to justify their non selection.
