JAMMU, Nov 9: The J&K Wrestling Association has selected wrestlers to participate in 58th senior (men) free style, greco roman style and 16th female national wrestling championship to be held at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata in West Bengal from November 14 to November 17, 2013.
The screening of the team was held at wrestling hall MA Stadium, Jammu, under the supervision of Dushyant Sharma, president J&K Wrestling Association and member J&K State Sports Council, Ranjeet Kalra, member J&K Sports Council, Vijay Gupta, member J&K Sports Council, Narinder Gupta, member J&K Sports Council and Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer, besides Raju Sharma and Dheeraj Sharma.
Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Medical Education and Youth Services and Sports has conveyed good wishes to all the wrestlers who have been selected for the championship.
The team: Ashwani Kumar, Sunny Bansotra, Bhushan Mehra, Pawan Kumar, Ranbir Singh Chib, Bhadur Khan, Sukhvinder Singh, Ishaq Ahmad, Mania Min, Daler Khan, Salinder Singh (All boys); Sonia Akhtar and Ekta Rani (girls).
The team will be accompanied by Om Parkash and Sahil Sharma as coaches, while Mohd Sadiq will be the manager.
