JAMMU, Apr 3: The two-day Asmita City League for women, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Basketball Association (JKBA), came to a successful conclusion at MA Stadium, here today. The event, held under the Khelo India initiative and sanctioned by the Basketball Federation of India, brought together talented women athletes from across the city.
In the highly anticipated final match, STC showcased a dominant performance, defeating RBC with an impressive score of 43-16 to claim the championship title. The STC team displayed excellent teamwork and skill, outplaying RBC in all aspects of the game.
The prize distribution ceremony was a highlight of the event, with Krupali Patel Singh, an Arjuna Awardee and Celebrity Gymnastics Coach of JKSC, gracing the occasion and presented awards to the winning and runner-up teams.
The event was attended by key figures from the JKBA, including Dr. Vikram Handa, President of JKBA; Ashok Singh Jamwal, Sr. Vice President, Aman Sharma, General Secretary and Sushma Jamwal, Chairperson of the Selection Committee. Shaktish Chopra, Manoj Kumar and a large number of players and their families were also present, supporting the event and celebrating the athletes’ achievements.
