Stolen cow recovered from smugglers

JAMMU, Apr 17: The police managed to recover a cow stolen from the cowshed of a residential house during night hours in Roop Nagar area of Jammu.
Official sources said that on the basis of complaint lodged by Gandharb Singh Chib, a resident of H.No. 45, Sector 1, Upper Roop Nagar, Jammu, that some unknown thieves stole his pregnant cow on the intervening night of April 8/9, 2022, a case FIR No. 32/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at Janipur Police Station.
During investigation, a team headed by ASI Maqbool Hussain, under the supervision of AHO Ajaz Haider after hectic efforts and analysis of CCTV footages/CDR/tower dump data finally nabbed two thieves namely namely- Shmma, son of Ali Goher and Mohd Saleem alias Mansha, son of Abdul Rashid, both from Rajpura Mandi Kanachak and on their disclosure recovered the stolen cow. The Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK20A/ 3489 was also seized. Further investigation was in progress.
