POONCH, May 21: The police recovered a stolen Tata Sumo vehicle and six batteries from TV tower from two different places.
A police spokesman said that Tata Sumo No. JK-12/ 1349 which was stolen from Mendhar area on the intervening night of May 12-13, was recovered by police party from Poonch during naka at Sher-e-Kashmir bridge last night. The driver however, escaped seeing police party. Another police party from Gursai, recovered 6 batteries of a TV tower at Dhargaloon which were being transported in Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-11A/ 2594 towards Rajouri late last evening.
The accused escaped leaving behind vehicle when the police party was chasing them. Batteries and vehicles have been seized.
