JAMMU, Dec 15: The Jammu & Kashmir UT Strength Lifting Association, affiliated with the India Strength Lifting Federation and World Strength Lifting Federation, inaugurated the Strength Lifting Championship at Galaxy Gym, Jeevan Nagar, here today. The championship saw the participation of around 90 athletes across various categories.
The event was inaugurated by Adv Parveen Singh Lucky, who graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Ajay Sharma, General Secretary of the J&K UT Strength Lifting Association, extended a warm welcome to all participants and officials. Rahul Sawhney, Vinay Sharma, and Parminder Singh also attended the event.
Ajay Sharma lauded the association’s success in winning several medals at national and international levels. He encouraged the youth to stay away from drugs, raising the slogan “Say No to Drugs” while stressing the importance of sports for physical and mental well-being.
