String of Heart Checkup Camps by Medanta-The Medicity concludes

JAMMU, Sept 18: Organized by Medanta-The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram, 12-day long string of Heart Checkup Camps concluded at Anantnag district.
The camps were organized in association with P-Mark Mustard Oil. The camps witnessed an overwhelming response from local populace and around 165 patients were examined.
“The relevant tests and facilities like ECG, Blood sugar and BP check detection were also offered to visitors while free of cost medicines were also distributed during the camps”, spokesperson, Medanta – The Medicity, stated in a press statement.
He stated that Medanta in association with P-Mark industrial unit started the health care initiative with first such Health Checkup Camp organized on September 4 at Shiv Mandir, Sector-3, Trikuta Nagar Jammu and the chain of health camps concluded with 12th in series held at Municipal Town Hall, Court Road, Anantnag, Kashmir.
“Here it needs to mention that Medanta had organized 12 camps six each in Jammu Division and Kashmir Division of State wherein team of expert doctors extended by Chairman and CMD, Dr Naresh Trehan under their Community Outreach services rendered their missionary services.’
Spokesperson further stated that Medanta had screened out approx of 2200 patients who visited the camp sites in Jammu and in Kashmir as well.
“The main objective of organizing first ever series of heart checkup camp was to aware the public in general and patients as well about the heart diseases, their prognosis and also to educate the patients as it’s the fastest growing disease, not only in aged group but also in youngsters as well,” he added.
“In a bid to make public aware of health ailment especially the heart disorders, the expert team from Medanta while examining and treating the patients, stressed upon preventive aspect of cardiac diseases.’
