JAMMU, Feb 6: Police has taken stringent action against the bikes with modified silencers.
As per police sources, a much needed step has been taken by Police in Sub Division R S Pura against the modified bikers under the guidance of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
The bikes were a cause of serious trouble to the locals as the modified silencers were causing noise pollution in the area.
To curb the menace, special police teams of Sub Division RS Pura were constituted on the directions of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
Various check points were established and more than 100 modified silencers were removed from bikes.
These stunt bikers were counselled by SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan along with their parents for safe riding without disturbing the peace in the area.
Furthermore, the efforts have caused reduction of noise in the area and more such initiatives will be taken for a noise less safe environment.
