REASI, May 12: Perfor-mance below expectation in class 10th annual examination result led to suicide by a student in village Laiter of Pouni, here today.
The deceased, identified as 16-year old Rahil Sharma, son of Gopal Dass of Laiter Pouni, consumed some poisonous substance after his family members allegedly expressed their dis-satisfaction over the percentage of marks, secured by him in class 10th exams, result of which was declared yesterday.
He was immediately rushed to local hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition. However, he breathed his last while on way to Jammu.
