Srinagar Oct 4: Scores of students of various Government Higher Secondary schools’ today protested against the school administrations for not issuing exam admit cards to them even as their examination are nearing.
The agitated students blamed that the officials in schools refused to issue them admit cards as the employees were on pen-down strike.
“We have been approaching to the school administration from last four days as our Practicals’ examination is scheduled from tomorrow as per school notice, but the employees on duty refuse to open offices saying that they are on 5-day strike,” a group of students said, adding, that they have been in trouble as they don’t know where their examination center would be.
A delegation of 12th standard students from Sri Pratap Higher Secondary School, Srinagar told Excelsior that they have been approaching the principal of the school from last week, but to of no avail.
The students said after their repeated requests the school administration has asked all of them to collect their roll number slips on Friday, but again the officials refused to issue them.
The angry students said if their roll number slips were not issued, the Principal would be the responsible for their failure to attend the examination.
The students also accused the school clerks of issuing roll numbers slips to influential students. “Our clerk issues roll number slip to only those students, who grease their palms while others suffer,” they said.
