JAMMU, Jan 6: The new session at The Business School in Jammu University began today with a corporate interaction for the MBA students.
Rakesh Shalla, COO Vodafone, delivered the lecture on BrandM with the objective of kindling thinking abilities among the students.
Mr Shalla, who has had the experience of working with big corporate houses, including Amul, Airtel and Vodafone, emphasized that sustainable brand building can be done through services. Emphasizing the power of branding and brand augmentation, he emphatically pointed out that branding is most important in the service industry and that the fundamental principle for the success of any company is the ability to listen to the customers. He suggested that consumer complaints must be addressed on priority and a structured analysis of customer feedback should eventually translate into specific company strategies. He also pointed out that a successful brand is the one that has speed, simplicity and trust.
Prof B C Sharma, Director TBS, introduced the guest speaker while Prof Alka Sharma presented a formal vote of thanks.
