JAMMU, Apr 18: Students of KC Gurukul College of Education bagged Ist Prize in Folk Group Song event in “Lok Rang Mahotsava” organized by Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here.
Lok Rang Mahotsava is a programme of Folk songs and Folk dances for B.Ed students organized annually by Jammu University.
Almost 300 students from various B.Ed Colleges participated in the event.
The students of this College namely Shikha, Kiran Thakur, Anuradha, Jyoti Bala, Shallu Sharma and Manisha Kumari presented a medley of three dogri folk songs-‘Cheena Laga Ho’, ‘Raja Jhanak Ghar’ and ‘Albelua Ho’, in their melodious voices which helped them to clinch first prize and brought laurels for the College.
The students were mentored by our music teacher Vivek Mohan and Dholak accompanied by Marvini.
The Chairman of the College, Arvind Mahajan and the Principal of the College, Anubha Munshi lauded the efforts of the students for this achievement.
