JAMMU, Oct 3: Marking a significant achievement in their outdoor education program, the 43 students from Scientia International School successfully summited the renowned Triund Peak in Himachal Pradesh, here today.
The students, ranging from grades 9th to 12th, embarked on this adventurous journey, overcoming challenges and demonstrating remarkable endurance and determination.
Speaking on the students’ accomplishment, Bharti Bhardwaj, Principal of SI School, said, “This is an extraordinary feat for our students. The Triund trek is not just a physical challenge, but also a test of mental strength, teamwork, and leadership. We are incredibly proud of their resilience and the spirit of unity they displayed throughout the trek.”
The trek organized under the supervision of experienced guides and teachers, the students not only conquered the heights of Triund but also learned valuable lessons in collaboration, perseverance, and self-reliance.
Prateek Sharma, the program coordinator said, “This experience has been life-changing for many of our students. They were able to push beyond their limits, embrace the beauty of nature, and come back with a renewed sense of confidence.”
The trek concluded with a celebration at the summit, where students took time to reflect on their journey while enjoying the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar range and the serene landscape of the Himachal region.
Located in the Kangra Valley, Triund Peak stands at an elevation of 2,850 meters (9,350 feet) and is celebrated for its stunning panoramic views of the Dhauladhar mountain range and the Kangra plains below.
The trek, approximately 9 kilometers long, is known for its picturesque landscapes, lush green meadows, and challenging terrain, making it a favorite among trekkers and nature lovers alike.
