Students protest as Exam Centre shifted, 1 suspended

RAJOURI,  Mar 22:  The students of Class 12th and their parents today held protest as State Education authorities shifted Exam Centre from  Govt Higher Secondary School Jamola to Dangri  GHSS on the complaints of mass copying while CEO placed a  member of examination staff (teacher)  under suspension.
Official sources said that on the report submitted by flying squad led by Assistant Secretary  BOSE Ashok Kumar and Lecturer Keshav Sharma on mass copying on March 18 at Centre No. 4619, GHSS  Jamola, the authorities changed the Exam Centre to Dangri with the intervention of  DC Rajouri and CEO Rajouri. Today was Math and Sociology papers of the students of class 12th.
A total 31 students from  Jamola did not move to the new Centre for appearing in examination  and held protest along with their parent s and locals  of the area at their own village, Jamola.
It may be recalled that on March 18 when the team arrived at Jamola Exam Centre, Ashok Sharma Asstt  Secy  and Lecturer Keshav were attacked by some people outside the Centre when they framed some unfair means cases  against some students, seized cheating material/ books  and raised strong objections to the mass copying going on at the Exam Centre.  One of  them was staff member of  that Centre. They also damaged their vehicle.
Both the members reported the matter to DC Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat  the same day and also lodged a case FIR No. 111/ 2017 at Police Station Rajouri against the accused persons the next day . While the CEO Rajouri suspended teacher Mohd Azam,  deputed at the Centre while action against the other staff members for allowing mass copying in the Exam Centre is yet awaited.  The State Education authorities have initiated inquiry into the matter.
