JAMMU, Sept 22: Students showed promise and guts on the ninth day of the ongoing ‘Display Your Talent-2015-16’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu during the events of Poster Making, Collage and One Act Play at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Associate Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Anupama Vohra, Dr. Sanjay Sharma and other faculty members and office bearers of University of Jammu were present at the occasion.
In One Act Play, ‘Daadu Chale Gaye’ performed by PG integrated Team, JU was declared first. ‘Kathputli’ performed by the team of GDC Kathua was declared second and ‘Final Solutions’ performed by the team of GGM Science College was declared third. Rashmi Jasrotia from GCW. Parade, Puneet Kaur from PG Integrated Team, JU and Shivani Chauhan from GDC, Kathua were declared first, second and third best actresses respectively. Avinash Lakhnotra from GGM Science College, Randeep from GDC, Kathua and Hemant Magotra from PG integrated Team, JU were declared first, second and third best actors respectively.
Certificates of Merit in Acting were awarded to Suneedhi Sharma and Rahul Sharma from PG Integrated, Sanyam Pandoh and Shazia Kouser from KC Law College. Ankit Gupta from The Law School, JU, Kartik Singh Saini and Diksha Jamwal from GGM Science College, Princy Koul from Trikuta College of Computer Sciences, Talab and Shivani Sharma from GDC Kathua, Richa Sharma and Namrta Chib from GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Drishti Sharma from GCW, Parade and Gautam Kumar from SPMR, College of Commerce. Deepak Kumar, Arvind Anand and Bhupinder Singh were the Judges and Dr. Sanjay Gupta was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
In Collage Making, the participants were given the themes of Portrait, Peace and Festival. Hemant Magotra from the Department of Commerce, JU was declared first, Mehak from Govt. MAM College stood second and Arun Sharma from MBS College of Engineering & Technology was adjudged third. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Deva Sharma and Pooja Devi from Institute of Music and Fine Arts by Manoj Chopra, Chander Shekhar and Amarjeet.
In Poster Making, participants were given the themes of Display Your Talent, Save Girl Child and Swachh Bharat.  Muzzafar Ahmad Bhat from Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Rahul Sharma from GDC, Kathua and Shreya Sharma from GDC Kathua were declared first, second and third respectively. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Shivika Narania from GCW, Parade, Vijayta Kashyap from GDC, Hiranagar and Sakshi Sharma from GDC, Akhnoor. Manoj Chopra, Chander Shekhar and Suresh Sharma were the Judges. Dr. Tirath Ram was the Teacher In-Charge of the event.
The event was coordinated by Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). Rahul Sharma, Archana Sharma, Amit Bali, Surinder Kumar, Darpendeep Kaur, Abhishek Sharma, Simrandeep Singh, Radhika Sharma, Nirupama Jamwal, Anshul Gupta, Sahil Sharma and Roohi Sharma did the Hall Management.
