JAMMU, Sept 5: Completing the race in 31:55 minutes, Suchi Devi of Government Degree College Samba bagged a gold medal in the Inter-Collegiate Cross Country for Women, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education at Jammu University Campus, here today.
The silver medal went to Disket Dolkar of Government College for Women Parade by completing the race in 32:27 minutes, while Mehnaz Begum of Government Degree College Thanamandi claimed the bronze medal by finishing the race in 33:10 minutes.
The race was flagged off by Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, in a simple function.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Romesh Sharma, PTI Campus, Dr Sonam Angchok, Assistant Director, Sumnesh Sharma, Suman Sharma, Neelam Chalotra and Ravinder Singh.
The competition was held under the technical supervision of athletic coach Nirmal Singh.
