JAMMU, June 1: Dr Sudhir Mahajan, a noted actor and director of the state delivered a lecture on ‘an actor empowerment’ here today at the Nav Durga Kalamanch Theatre Studio, Kachi Chowni, Jammu.
In his lucid and comprehensive lecture Dr Sudhir gave a new concept of actor’s empowerment in term of his giving better performance in all the medium including Theatre, TV, Radio and the Films .
He said That the actor has a deep sense of emotions and feelings of the character which is portrayed by him and in this regard awareness of his self and factors of the professional development are needed utmost to understand by using his will power so that he could remain detached as an actor and the observer at the same time.
He threw light on the meaning of real professional excellence especially for the T V and Film actors in respect of selections of the various roles which must be based on the moral values as one of the responsible citizen of the society.
On the occasion, Er. Vijay Sharma, a renowned theatre activist of the State and chairman of the All Artist’s Welfare Association, Jammu presided over the lecture and also congratulated Mahajan. He also appreciated the medium and form of delivering lecture besides his selfless service to sensitize the artists fraternity of theatre.
The lecture was attended by the many theatre activists including Mushtak Kak , Shashi Bushan, Dr. Kamal Sharma, President Kumar A ‘Bharti’ Ravinder Sharma, Rajinder Narang, Ajay Sharma, Neeraj Sethi, Seema Devi, Rajat Gupta and others .
Later, the participants held a very constructive and significant discussion on the subject.
Dr Mahajan also disclosed the said that he will deliver the same lecture on wider level for the benefit of all the artists.
The lecture was organized by the Samooh Theatre, Jammu.
