JAMMU, June 2: Sudhmahadev Chhari Yatra Samiti has informed that 5th Chhari Yatra of Sudhmahadev will leave Jammu for Sudhmahadev on June 4 (Sunday) this year.
Addressing a press conference here today at ancient Panjbakthar Temple (Rupaye Wala Mandir), Samiti Members, Narinder Sharma, Varun Magotra, Ritu Choudhary, Ram Magotra, Raj Kumar Sodhi, Rajesh Behal and Pandit Sahil Sharma said that temples of Sudhmahadev have their reference in religious books like Padam Puran and Shiv Puran.
They also informed that Mantalai is a place where God Shiva solemnized marriage with Mata Parvati.
“One can have Darshan of exact place where the Barat was served by the then King Himavat (Father of Mata Parvati). Trishul of Lord Shiva is still there in the temple with which He killed the demon (Rakshas) Sudhanshu,” Samiti members said.
They said that after Chhari Pujan on June 3 at 11.00 pm in Panjbakthar Temple the Chhari Yatra will start from this temple on June 4 at 7.30 am with pomp and show.
“The Chhari will be carried by Sant 1008 Swami Damodar Dass Ji Maharaj (Varindavan Wale). It will have Puja at Shiv temple, Kol Kandoli (Nagrota), Devika Temple, Toldi Nallah, Chenani Town, Gouri Kund and finally at Sudhmahadev Temple,” Samiti members maintained appealing to all the Jammuities and Shiv Bhakts who want to accompany the Chhari Yatra to register themselves at Samiti Office in Panjbakthar Mandir, Jammu.
