JAMMU, Apr 2: Sikh United Front (SUF) and several other organizations including Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Seva Society, All India Sikh Students Federation and Sikh Welfare Society have urged upon the PDP and BJP to provide representation to the Sikh community in new State Cabinet.
In a meeting of different organisations held here today under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh from BKNSS, the members of these bodies demanded that a Sikh member be inducted as minister in the new Cabinet headed by Mehbooba Mufti. They claimed that no Sikh member was inducted in the Cabinet during Mufti’s regime. Now, the Sikh community has high hope from the BJP and PDP leadership.

They also made fervent appeal to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah to provide Cabinet berth to a Sikh community member in J&K.
Paramjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Gajjan Singh , Harpal Singh, Manmohan Singh, Amrik Singh and Gurdev Singh were amomg others present in the meeting.
