KATRA, June 16: 51st Annual Bharnara Kesari Vishal Dangal was organized by Bharnara Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Bharnara, Majalta in Udhampur, under the overall supervision of president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Sharma (Raju) and the members of Dangal Committee.
38 bouts were played in the Vishal Dangal wherein wrestlers from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP and J&K participated.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is also the treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, was the chief guest on the occasion. He gave away cash prize to the winners and runner-up wrestlers. President District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Varinder Kumar Sharma presided over the function. Contractor Ashok Kumar was the guest of honour.
The first main bout was fought between wrestler Sukha of Rajasthan and wrestler Vinod of Khanna in Punjab. This bout was won by Sukha. The bout lasted for 22 minutes. Winner Sukha was awarded with cash prize of Rs 12000 along with Mata Ki Chunni by Shiv Kumar Sharma and Varinder Kumar Sharma, while runner-up wrestler Vinod got Rs 9000 by Sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Sharma and contractor Ashok Kumar.
