Summer Camp concludes at MV International School

JAMMU, June 10: A week-long Summer Camp ‘SAAHAS’ at MV International School reached to its summit with a cultural festival in the night camp which was attended by the school management, parents and students, here.
Various activities taken in the Camp included yoga, meditation, cookery classes, pottery, guitar, dance, music, coaching in cricket and football, art and craft.
Apart from these activities, lectures by experts from Defence, career counselors and doctors were held, besides taking the students to computer classes, fun race and amusement park.
The students were taught basic etiquettes and table manners and a splash pool party was organized in the Camp.
Cultural evening gave an opportunity to all campers to display their talents & learning outcomes of the camp. The function began with display of exhibits prepared by Art & Craft, Pottery and Home Science Departments.
Later a mesmerizing cultural programme was presented by the students where they displayed their talents in the Music & Dance, Cookery, Yoga, Guitar etc in front of the fellow students and parents.
Chairman of the School, Hira Lal Abrol was the chief guest and vice chairperson, Savita Abrol was the guest of honour.
Directors Gourav Abrol & Aakriti Abrol were also present on the occasion. Special invitees were Davinder Daluja, Neelam Daluja, Sumit Vohra and Geeta Vohra.
Parents of all campers too were invited to witness the proceedings of the evening, who participated in Tambola that was specially organized for them.
Best campers, winners of Tambola and the teachers who completed level-1 of NIIT Training were awarded during the function.
Principal of the School, K L Dogra presented the report of the camp which highlighted the work done by the students and teachers during the Camp. Night Camp was inaugurated by a cake cutting ceremony by all teachers and students. Camp fire along with music and dance filled the atmosphere with lot of joy.
