JAMMU, June 16: 15-days innovative Summer Camp 2014 concluded at Sun Rise Institute, Pargwal in Akhnoor today.
The impressive and colorful camp was a part of the plan to augment togetherness and nurture the best in each and every child with indoctrine of conscientious concern.
The students took part in variety of fun-filled and scintillating activities, under the guidance and supervision of Preety Kohli.
Some of the main elements of the camp were basic English speaking, glass painting, pot painting, personality development activities and improving writing skills.
Campers were classified in small groups with participants of their own age, who attended daily classes.
Through spoken English classes, campers were enriched with vocabulary and correct pronunciation.
The children experienced great joy and motivation in learning new techniques and creative art work.
Apart from learning skills, children also utilized the camp days in nurturing their inherent skill and talent, besides development of their friendship with other students.
On final day, students participated in handwriting competition. In junior group, Ayush Khajuria and Anu Manhas won the competition while in senior group, Keshav Sharma, Rekha Chib and Neha Sharma remained victorious.
Speaking on the occasion, Preety Kohli, camp co-ordinator, said such camps develop the kinaesthetic skill like special intelligence, logistic intelligence and intra structural potentialities in the growing kids besides development of team spirit.
Prominent students who participated in the camp included Jatin Sharma, Varun Kumar, Mannu Sharma, Abay Singh, Kritika Sharma, Arun Kumar, Gulshan Sharma, Simran Chib, Sonia Devi, Krishna Singh, Rajay Chadak, Rishav Singh, Pratiksha Verma and Abhishek Verma.
