JAMMU, June 30: Summer Cricket Coaching Camp organised by Parade Sports Association concluded here today. Continuing its activities at Parade Ground, Parade Sports Association started its 5th Open Summer Cricket Camp to groom the budding cricketers of the age between 12 to 16 years from June 9 to 30. In this camp 68 young players were registered.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Vijay Sabarwal, Desh Rattan Dubey and former Skipper of Jammu and Kashmir Ranji Trophy Sanjay Sharma. About three weeks long camp was held under the supervision of senior Ranji Trophy Cricketer Harsh Nayyar Rohit Bhat and Vikram Dogra coached the young and budding bowlers and batsman who attended the camp.
Physical training, fielding and running between the wickets were the important parts of the daily training. Medical checkups of all the players was done by the senior Ayurvedic Consultant, Dr. Anil Kumar Mahajan and necessary advice was given to all the players individually for proper maintenance of their health.
Along with a list of dos and don’ts regarding diet and routines for the players to be observed was provided to each player. In the valedictory function Dr. Anil Kumar Mahajan, the General Secretary of the association detailed about the activities of Parade Sports Association and Laxmi Cricket Club. Sanjay Sharma, the Sr. Vice President of the association and former Ranji Trophy Skipper of J&K welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour and the parents of the participants. Certificates and smart kits were presented to the participants by the chief guest and the guest of honour.
