Sunderbani Club claims Reasi Cup

REASI, Mar 28: Sunderbani Cricket Club thrashed Reasi Cricket Club by 6 wickets and claimed the title trophy of the Reasi Cup.
Batting first, Reasi Club scored 135 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
In the second inning, Sunderbani Club chased the target in 19.4 overs, with the loss of just four wickets.
On the occasion, Zaffar Iqbal, Vice President, United Cricket Federation of India (UCFI), Sham Saini, joint secretary sports, Touseef Raja, joint secretary business affairs and Zaheer Choudhary, secretary were the guests of honour, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams.
The man of the match was Akashy from SCC, while man the series was Varun and both were awarded with UCFI’s cricket uniforms by Zaffar Iqbal.
While speaking, Zaffar Iqbal invited the youth of Reasi district to participate in the forthcoming 1st J&K T20 Championship. He promised that UCFI would provide them every kind of help towards the development of cricket and upliftment of their hidden talent.
Nadeem Bhat, organizer, Reasi Cup, said that 32 teams participated in this tournament which were vying for the title trophy.
