SRINAGAR, June 5: Minister for Power Sunil Kumar Sharma today convened a meeting to review the status of water supply in Kishtwar through video conference.
Taking cognizance of the complaints registered by people in this regard, the Minister directed the concerned authorities to regularize the distribution of water in and around the town for which a concrete plan and distribution roaster should be maintained and followed on daily basis.
He also directed to constitute special teams for keeping a check on distribution in the town and Mandal area so as to fix responsibilities of the field staff for any kind of negligence.
Minister gave stern warning that any dereliction of duty or laxity on part of the concerned officers will be viewed seriously and will invite strong action against the officer/official concerned.
He also directed Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar to monitor the process and ensure redressal of the problems of the people and submit an action taken report within week’s time to his office.
