SRINAGAR, Sept 10: Minister of State for Transport, Youth Services and Sports Sunil Kumar Sharma who is also President of Karate Association, today felicitated players who won medals at State Level Karate Championship held at Kargil from 6th to 8th September organized by Youth Services and Sports department at his official residence Srinagar today.
In an interactive session, the Minister assured the players that infrastructure and all other facilities for promoting the game of Karate are being developed at Moulana Azad Stadium Jammu and other parts of the State.
The Minister congratulated the players who brought laurels to their institutions, parents and to the whole State and said the Govt is committed to organize such events so that hidden talent of the students is explored at National and international Platforms.
The players included Garima Parihar, Rakshit Mehta and Vasuvardhan Singh all of them Gold Medalists and Mumukshu Pratap Singh Silver Medalist, accompanied by the Coach Abhijeet Singh Chib, Black Belt-II DAN were felicitated.
