JAMMU, Sept 24: Sunnia Gupta from Department of English, Shayaan Bhat from MAM College and Roopam Sharma from the Department of English, University of Jammu bagged first, second and third positions respectively in the Flower Arrangement event held during the ongoing “Display Your Talent” competition, being organized by Department of Students Welfare at University of Jammu, here.
However, the Certificates of Merit were awarded to Priya Johal from the The Law School, Tanika from the Department of Home Science and Saniya Bhasin from Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu.
Prof Naresh Padha, distributed prizes and certificates among the winners in presence of Prof NKTripathi, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh Singh (Provost) and Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Co-Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee.
The adjudicators of the event were Dr KK Sharma, Ashwani Sharma and Dr Raj Kumar.
Dr Sanjay Sharma, Teacher Incharge, apprised the participants about the rules and regulations of the event and supervised the competition.
Dr Raj Kumar gave detailed tips to participants on flower arrangement.
Meanwhile, in Collage Competition on the topics “Landscape, Fantasy and Portrait”, the first prize was won by Rigzin Palzor, IMFA, whereas the second and third positions were bagged by Tejaswani Khajuria from Government Women College, Parade and Hemant Magotra from Government SPMR College of Commerce. The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Shikha Singh from Department of Mathematics, Nivedhika Rai Vaid from Government Degree College (Boys), Kathua and Sangeeta Shivgotra from Department of Environment Science, University of Jammu.
Prof Shailendra Singh, Associate Dean (SW) distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners.
The adjudicators of the event were Bhushan Kesar and Manoj Chopra.
The programme was managed by Kulbushan Thakur and Surinder Singh Bhalla.
