JAMMU, Apr 6: Sunny Verma, the strength and conditioning coach for the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), has been named the U-19 Men’s Camp strength and conditioning (S&C) coach. The camp will be held in Mohali from April 26 to May 22, 2024, organised by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) under the direction of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The communiqué forwarded by VVS Laxman, Head Cricket, NCA to Sunny Verma read: “We are happy to inform you that you have been detailed as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the U-19 (Boys) Camp to be conducted from April 26 to May 22, 2024. You will be required to report at Mohali on April 25, 2024 afternoon”.
Sunny has the distinction of serving JKCA as Strength and Conditioning Coach for Senior Men’s team in all three formats of Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare and Mushtaq Ali Trophies, besides serving it as Trainer in Under-19 Vinoo Mankad and Cooch Behar Trophies.
Last season Sunny served as Strength & Conditioning Coach to JKCA Senior Men’s team for the prestigious Buchi Babu Trophy, besides serving J&K U-19 Men’s team in both One-Day and Multi-Day formats and J&K U-23 Women’s team in One-Dayers.
“I feel honoured to be appointed as S&C by the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru. I owe my success to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA)”, said Sunny on his appointment.
