JAMMU, Oct 19: Sunshine High School, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), organized an awareness program focusing on drug addiction and corruption. Approximately 200 participants, including students and staff from Government High School Nagrota, attended the event.
The program began with dynamic debates in English, Hindi, and Dogri, where students passionately discussed the impacts of drug abuse and corruption. Col (Dr.) Adarsh Sharma, Director of Sunshine High School, highlighted the severe health risks of drug addiction.
Students performed Nukkad Natak (street plays), skits, and poetry, delivering powerful messages on the urgency of these issues. Sumit Kohli, Tehsildar of Nagrota, encouraged students to become agents of change in society.
The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, honoring outstanding students with medals presented by distinguished guests, including Vinod Kundal (SDPO Nagrota) and Shaveta Sharma (Nehru Yuva Kendra).
