JAMMU, July 29: Surankote XI defeated Bedi Cricket Club by 24 runs in the ongoing Tennis Cricket Night tournament at BHSS, here today.
Batting first, Surankote XI set a target of 98 runs in the stipulated 10 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Adnan Fazli top scored with 35 runs and Asif contributed 17 runs to the total. For Bedi Club, Munna took 2 wickets. In reply, Bedi Club made 74 runs to lose the match by a margin of 24 runs. From Surankote XI, Imran and Adnan took 2 wickets each.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, while Harcharan Singh, senior cricketer was the guest of honour.
The tournament was organised under the banner of Ehsaas foundation and under the overall supervision of Parvaiz Malik, Chairman of the Ehsaas Foundation and Gurvinder Singh, Organising Secretary of the tournament.
The matches are being officiated by Arvinder Singh, Prithpal Singh, Imran, Sajad Kirmani, Gurmeet Singh, Ankush Sharma, Iftikhar Bhatti, Navjot Singh, Manik Bharghav, Sukhpreet Singh, Zaffar Shah and Imran Khan.
