AKHNOOR, Dec 8: Senior BJP leader and District Development Councillor, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today inaugurated work on Rs. 2.50 crore project under Jal Jeevan Mission at Fandwal village of Panchayat Keour in Maira Mandrain block.
When completed, the project will fulfil the long pending demand of the people facing water crisis and Fandwal, Meeni Manoh, Gurha Laigh, Gurha Panada and adjoining localities will be benefitted with this project and a large population will get adequate and regular water supply.
The project will have new filtration plant, new pipeline, water tank and other infrastructure.
Suresh Sharma while addressing the people on this occasion said that such more new projects for the people will also be undertaken in block Maira Mandrain in near future.
He said that under the visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi many development projects are in progress and Jal Jeevan Mission is one such important project aimed at taking water to every house through tap.
The Councillor said that Modi government is committed to take care of every region and every section of the society.
BDC Chairperson, Sushma Devi; AEE, Rakesh Gupta; JE, Bal Krishan; Naib Sarpanch, Joginder Kumar; Bodh Raj, Rattan Lal, Panch Satpaul, Mahesh Kumar, Raman Kumar, Nintya Nand and others were also present on the occasion.
