JAMMU, Dec 15: Surinder Cricket Club triumphed in the KPL Veteran Cup-19, defeating Sharda Cricket Club in a thrilling final at KC Sports Club Ground.
Batting first, Surinder Cricket Club posted a challenging total of 177/7 in 20 overs. Puneet Wattal top-scored with 78 runs, while Nittu contributed 44 runs and Provin added 23 runs.
In reply, Sharda Cricket Club was restricted to 129/8 in 20 overs. Sandeep Raina was their top scorer with 33 runs. From the bowling side, Vikas Dhar and Nittu took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. Nittu’s all-round performance earned him the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
Aky Bhan was named ‘Man of the Series,’ Puneet Wattal received the Best Batsman award, while Sanjay Koul was honored as Best Bowler. Saksham Koul was recognized as the Emerging Player.
The tournament was organized by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul, in association with KC Sports Club Jammu.
