Life is but a series of comedy and errors and Jio Pagla is a story of such comic errors.
It’s a story of four friends namely Ananta, Sujoy, Ananda and Rajsankar Dhol. Ananta is a fashion photographer by profession and he stays at a rented house which is owned by Khoghen Mal.
Incidents take drastic turns and all his friends pile on him and they start staying together at Ananta’s rented place. Then one day Khoghen mal caught them doing mischief with his third wife Tola boudi and ask them to vacate his house.
Change in place, love and disguise all in all, this entire story is a full on entertainer.
The story is adapted from “Jay Ma Kali Boarding” a popular drama written by Sailesh Dey.
Famous Bengali actor Bhanu Bandopadhyay was associated with the drama once. Mr Ravi Kinagi has recreated the story in the modern context. The core incident remains same, the lead actors of the movie go on hunting for a place to stay, twist comes when they got to know that in order to put up at the place, they have to tie knots.
Jio Pagla is all set to hit the screen on October 20 across screens in West Bengal. (AGENCIES)ng in the first weekend.”
“As an actor, I am contributing in creative aspect. The big credit of all these films goes to the directors and the writers. They should get the credit or if a film doesn’t work it is the director’s responsibility too,” he adds.
One would argue that ultimately the choice of doing those films was solely his, but Aamir insists he should not be given the credit.
“It is my good fortune to be a part of these films. Imagine if I didn’t have ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Lagaan’ or ‘3 Idiots’ where would I be? My career is built on these films. The choice is mine, I chose well, but I shouldn’t be credited so much for that.
“It’s like when you tell your mom to make kaali daal for meal. When guests have it, you can’t say ‘this was my choice’. You didn’t make the food, you just suggested. The actual credit goes to your mother for cooking the food.”
Aamir’s next is Advait Chandan’s “Secret Superstar”. Also featuring Zaira Wasim the film will hit the theatres on October 19. (AGENCIES)
